How it works

  1. Tell us about the day

The child’s name, one to three photos, their church and who will be there: godparents, grandparents, cousins.

  2. See it free

We draw the child, the cover and two pages while you wait. Not quite them? Say what to change.

  3. Order, check, give

Pay when you love it. We draw the rest and email you the finished book: change any page, or say yes.

You pay nothing until you have seen them. See your characters, the cover and two pages free before you pay. Then you check every page: if we haven’t heard from you within 12 hours of our email, we print it as shown so it arrives on time.

Three pages from the day

Every book tells one child’s day, with their own church, family and celebration. These sample pages are drawn in the Storybook style.

Storybook illustration of a girl in a white dress twirling in the hallway while her mum fixes her hair

On the morning of her First Holy Communion, Sofia twirled until her crown of flowers nearly fell off.

Getting ready, with the people at home.
Storybook illustration of children in white walking up the aisle of a bright church

The church was full of sunlight, and every family was smiling.

The church, told gently and simply.
Storybook illustration of a family celebration in a garden with a white cake

Then came the lunch in the garden, with Nonna, the cousins and a cake with a dove on top.

The celebration after, with everyone who came.

A keepsake for the day

The dress or the suit, the walk up the aisle, the family lunch after: the details fade, and the book keeps them.

From godparents, a gift to keep

Godparents are often looking for a First Holy Communion gift more personal than a card or a medal for their goddaughter or godson. This is a book with the child at the centre and you in it beside them, to be kept long after the dress no longer fits.

Parents make it as the family keepsake of the day, and grandparents add a copy for their house. Every book can carry your own dedication or blessing on its own page.

For girls and for boys

White dress and veil, or shirt, waistcoat and rosette: tell us what they will wear and it is in the pictures. Add their church, the date and the celebration after, and the story is theirs.

If someone dear can’t be there, the story can remember them gently.

Outside church, the cousins find themselves in the book.

Questions, answered

When can I order?

Ordering for My First Holy Communion opens soon. You can make the book now and see your characters, the cover and two pages free; leave your email and we will write the day it opens.

Is it right for a Catholic First Holy Communion?

Yes. The book tells the day with care: the preparation, the church and the celebration, in the words you choose. You can add your own dedication or blessing.

Can godparents order it?

Yes, and it makes a lovely godparent gift. Godparents can be in the pictures beside the child.

Can we remember someone who has died?

Yes. Tell us their name and who they were, and the story remembers them in its words.

Do I need photos?

No. One to three photos of each person give the best likeness, or build them in the character maker. Photos of children need a parent or guardian’s permission.

What if the child doesn’t look right?

You see them, the cover and two pages free before you order. Tell us what to change and we redraw it. You check every page before we print, with 12 hours to ask for changes.

Can we make it after the day?

Yes, and use the photos from the day, so the dress or the suit is exactly right.

What happens to the photos?

They are used only to draw your book and never to train AI. We delete them 30 days after your book is delivered, and drafts that are never ordered after 60 days.

What if it arrives damaged?

Send us a photo and we reprint it free.

Where do you deliver?

To addresses in the United Kingdom and the United States, printed in the country it goes to. We can’t deliver anywhere else yet.

Can I cancel?

Yes, until we print. If you are not happy with the finished pages, cancel before we print and we refund you in full. Once it is printed, a book made for your family can’t be returned, but anything damaged or wrong on our side is reprinted free.
